Re: Adrian Red Card STANDS!!
This should have never been a problem every team in the prem must have two solid Goal keepers.

Why do we have one good one ok keeper ?

Re: Adrian Red Card STANDS!!
The original decision was correct. Pretty blatant red really, no question about it.

Re: Adrian Red Card STANDS!!
I'll be honest I have totally and utterly given up on what is kosher now on the field of play... in years gone by both Vardy's and Adrians would have probably been a yellow and the sakho penalty appeal would have probably not been given... nowdays I have not got a clue what is and what isn't just like these fucked up off side rules they keep mucking about with... I'm all for changing rules if it makes things better but all it's doing is complete and utter guess work half the time... no point having a video review as no fucker no rules !!

it's not an issue of should they change another foul to a red card. it's an issue of integrity or competence of the referee that a nearly identical situation in the same game can be called completely differently.

The FA need to bin the ref, simple as that.

Taylor has been demoted apparently.

Is he on Twitter? I cannot find him.

Clear red card

Re: Adrian Red Card STANDS!!
1) I think the three matches over one may have something to do with the fact that we appealed it rather than swallowing it.

2) you don't investigate the possibility of issuing retrospective red cards to make it 'fair' following a decision like this. Something has to happen before it can be appealed, it's no good saying 'well then that should be a red card too' because that may be correct but it still won't be investigated or issued.

3) we've written off Randolph because his stats aren't good playing for someone else, against a totally different Bournemouth team, in a different division. Spastics.

Re: Adrian Red Card STANDS!!
I was going to say that Adrian's looked worse than Vardy's, but Adrian was actually in Vardy's eyeline, so theoretically Vardy's was worse since he knew he was going to make contact.

Either way, Adrian's looked terrible.

So's Taylor. The abuse he's getting on Twitter makes me wonder why he has a Twitter account.

Herts...

I am 100% correct...Vardy should have got a Red...

Inconsistent application of The ZLZaws...

Of course he should have by todays interpretation of the laws
Nailed on, blatant reckless

Herts Hammer 8:53 Tue Aug 18

very true but it does have a bearing on whether the ref was administering the rules consistently against both sides. That it what I have an issue with more than anything.

Vardy made a waist-high, studs-up challenge with full knowledge that Adrian was in front of him and caught him (not in the belly but on the ankle).

So Vardy should have been sent off too, then.

Herts Hammer 8:53 Tue Aug 18
Re: Adrian Red Card STANDS!!
TI - I haven't seen the tackle you describe, but you may well be correct.

But that doesn't have any bearing on Adrian's sending off.

this is exactly the same situation and handled completely differently. THIS the FA should be forced to explain.

If we had a decent set of goalies it would not be a problem.it would still possibly be an injustice .

Re: Adrian Red Card STANDS!!
If a player needs to raise his boot to a dangerous position to control the ball he must be sure that he will not strike another player.

Adrian didn't mean to do it but he should of been aware who was around before he raised his foot.

It is dangerous and reckless play.

Texas Iron 8:29 Tue Aug 18
Re: Adrian Red Card STANDS!!
Herts...

By that definition...

Vardy should have got a Red for the studs up challenge and kick on Adrian's shin...

Herts Hammer 8:27 Tue Aug 18
Re: Adrian Red Card STANDS!!
Regarding overhead, or bicycle kicks - There is a specific mention of those, that effectively exempts them, unless contact is made....

Playing in a dangerous manner
Playing in a dangerous manner is defined as any action that, while
trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player
himself). It is committed with an opponent nearby and prevents the opponent
from playing the ball for fear of injury.
A scissors or bicycle kick is permissible provided that, in the opinion of the
referee, it is not dangerous to an opponent.
Playing in a dangerous manner involves no physical contact between the
players. If there is physical contact, the action becomes an offence punishable
with a direct free kick or penalty kick. In the case of physical contact, the
referee should carefully consider the high probability that misconduct has also
been committed.

Helmut...

Vardy not only lunges...but he made contact on Adrian's Shin...
